Waiting Room Etiquette
Sometimes our waiting room can be very crowded and noisy which is often very confusing and scary for animals. Think of it as being in a foreign land where you don't speak the language and not everyone is always friendly. When we are sick, we often don't feel very friendly and your pets can feel the same. For everyone's safety we ask the following:
While you are waiting for your turn with a doctor, please keep your pets on a leash or in your lap. Although your dog may be very friendly, other dogs may not. Sometimes our pets react in ways we would never imagine when faced with a strange and sometimes frightening environment.
Please keep your children from walking up to strange animals and reaching our their hands. For the same reasons as above, sometimes normally passive animals will become aggressive when afraid or sick. Have your children ask permission before petting another animal.
