Our Services
General Services
Bathing We bathe dogs by appointment only on a daily basis. Baths include a nail trime and 15 minutes of brush out time. If additional brush out is needed, it is available for an additional charge. |
Blood Transfusion | We maintain a supply of blood for all types of pets in case of emergency. The blood is collected from donor pets that live with their owners. |
Behavioral Medicine and Counseling | Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. We help determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior, and then develop a treatment regimen for the client. |
Dental Care | Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. All animals who receive dentistries are under full anesthesia. There is a full oral exam done while under the anesthesia and the teeth are cleaned and polished. Extractions and x-rays are done as needed and with the clients permission. |
Emergency and Critical Care | In any emergency, seconds count. Our experienced staff is stocked and equipped to administer the ABCs of basic life support – Airway, Breathing, Circulation/Cardiac compressions. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. In addition, we use the services of a fully staffed emergency center after hours. |
Fully Stocked Pharmacy | We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field. |
Euthanasia Services | Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client. |
Wellness Care and Immunizations We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include:
Comprehensive physical exam that involves listening to the heart and lungs, checking the eyes, ears and teeth; hands on exam to check for swelling, tenderness, overall muscle tone and strength; internal parasite testing.
Wellness information to help with everything from puppy training, nutritional counseling with a wide variety of both presecription and non-prescription foods to what tests are necessary to keep your older dog feeling his best. |
Internal Medicine | We cover all areas of internal medicine, including: Cardiology; Ophthalmology; Neurology; Dermatology; Gastroenterology; Orthopedic surgery; Oncology; Endocrinology; among others. |
Microchipping | Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery. |
Pain Management | Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. |
Radiology | Radiology – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. |
Ultrasound | This non-invasive, state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the heart and abdominal organs. Pregnancy exams are also available. |
Specialized Surgery All our veterinary surgeons are able to perform eye surgery. Dr VanRyswyk and Dr LaHuis perform all our orthopedic surgical procedures.

General and Laser Surgery We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include: board certified surgeon available for consultation; fully trained veterinary and technical staff, to ensure the safest, most efficient, state-of-the-art procedures for your pet; advanced sterilization techniques; ECG and oxygen saturation monitors; intensive after surgery care and full blood testing.
Surgeries are performed on a daily basis and each doctor in the clinic has a rotating surgery schedule. Surgeries that we perform include but are not limited to spays, neuters, lump/tumor removal, ear crops, and de-claws.
Lasers are a minimally invasive alternative to traditional surgery. Lasers replace scalpels in many procedures and are useful for a wide range of conditions such as cyst, tumor and wart removal and even declaws. Laser procedures result in less pain, bleeding and swelling. They reduce the risk of infection and result in less post operative discomfort. |
Reptiles, Rabbits and Small Mammals | Veterinary medicine for exotic pets is growing as the popularity of these animals increase. With better public education in health, nutritional and environmental management, all species have a greater chance for living longer and healthier lives. We employ staff veterinarians who possess experience in the care and treatments of exotics. |
